Welcome to the Lunar Client June Recap. This month, we’ve got some exciting updates coming to the client. So, without further a-do, let’s jump right into our newest update to the Launcher.

Check out this month’s Lunar Client Recap video below!

Launcher Updates

We just added Country Flags to the friends list inside of the Launcher. Now, whenever you add someone on Lunar Client, you will see a little flag indicating which country they’ve last used the client in. You’re also able to hide this feature inside of the Account Tab through our Launcher settings.

Gifting Gauntlet & Vault Sale

We’ve finally released Cosmetic Gifting to the Lunar Client Store. Now, you can give back to any player on Lunar Client while also earning rewards for yourself with our first biannual Gift Gauntlet. During this event, you’ll compete against other players on the client to climb the gauntlet leaderboards, and for the first time ever on Lunar Client, earn completely custom cosmetics that are exclusive to you! Not only can you fight for rewards from Top 25 all the way to 1st, but even if you don’t make it on the leaderboard, you’ll still earn rewards just for hitting different milestones. This is the perfect time to gift your friends, or others, cosmetics as our 30% off vault sale is also ongoing throughout the duration of the gift gauntlet event.

Locker Release

We’ve completely redesigned our Cosmetic Locker with a fresh coat of paint. This update finally unifies our cosmetics, emotes, and skin changer all in one menu. Not only can you preview your fit from the model inside of the Locker, but you can now select cosmetics straight from your player and swap them out, as well as change any of the customization options they may have, such as cloth cloaks and scaling. This update has been a long time coming, and we hope you all enjoy this new refresh as we work on bringing other menus from the client up to this level.

New Lunar Client Mods

We’ve released not one, not two, but three new Minecraft mods to Lunar Client's mod selection. Let’s get straight into our first mod, the Tier Tagger Mod.

Tier Tagger Mod

We just released our Tier Tagger mod, which adds the ability to display a tag next to a player’s name depending on the rank they have on one of two selectable Tier Tracking websites. The statistic that is shown can be fully customized. You are able to change the gamemode it pulls from, when you want it displayed, or change it to only show a player’s highest rank. We think this mod is pretty useful, especially if you often play on competitive modern servers and want to get an idea of who you’re about to run into.

Inventory Mod

Our Inventory Mod currently offers 3 different options, which include being able to lock and bind your items, as well as prevent your cursor from resetting when swapping between GUIs. These features are super helpful for PVE gamemodes such as SkyBlock, but we think that other areas like Survival and Bedwars can also benefit from some of these changes.

Kill Sounds Mod

Our Kill Sounds Mod, as you’ve probably guessed, allows you to customize the sound that’s played depending on how you get a kill. This ranges from the generic sound whenever you kill a player, to melee, bow, rod, and throwable kill sounds. There’s also the option to add your own custom sounds and even the ability to play the sounds whenever you get a win in Bedwars

Lunar Client Mod Improvements

Pack Display Mod

We added a bunch of customization options to our Pack Display mod, which allows you to alter how your current resource pack shows up inside the mod's HUD. This way, you can fully customize how the names and descriptions are formatted, whether you want the description to actually show, toggle the pack extension, and more. We think this customizability gives you a few more ways to express yourself through your HUD and make Lunar Client truly optimized for you.

Snaplook Mod

We also added support for separate keybinds for third-person, front, and back angles inside our Snaplook Mod. This makes it super easy to switch between them, without having to cycle through all three angles like you would in Vanilla Minecraft.

Ping Mod

We also just added a few new options to the Ping Mod for the HUD, which lets you display the Ping Bars icon, similar to what’s shown in TAB. This gives you a bit more customization and variation for your HUD. We also added the ability to detect when you're having ping spikes, which you can customize your thresholds for, and when you’d want it to display in the HUD.

Lunr.Pics Update

Whenever you view a screenshot from any player that’s uploaded to the site, you’ll see a bunch of information about where the screenshot was taken, such as the server it was taken on, the player's coordinates, the biome they were in, plus the time of day and weather. On top of this, you can easily see what cosmetics the player was using when they took the picture if you want to steal their fit, as well as any other players who may have photobombed the screenshot.

1.21.6 Release

We added support for Minecraft 1.21.6 on the client in less than an hour after it was released on Vanilla. This wouldn’t be possible without our amazing team of QA Testers. If you’d be interested in helping find bugs for future updates & bringing new ideas to the team, just head over to our Application Form to get started!

Skyblock Updates

Our SkyBlock updates for the month, the team worked on 3 main areas that needed some improvements in our mod. Those being Kuudra, Fishing, and Hoppity’s Chocolate Factory.

Fishing

We added a couple features to make what’s supposed to be a peaceful skill a bit less stressful. This includes added the ability to hide nearby players and bobbers while you’re fishing, as well as a marker for fishing particles to make catching a bit easier. We also added alerts for when a rare sea creature is spawned nearby, on top of adding a locator for Hotspots whenever you're using the Hotspot Radar.

Hoppity’s Chocolate Factory

The team went in and fixed a ton of issues that our players & testers reported, in addition to adding an option to hide the Uncollected Eggs HUD in any SkyBlock area.

Skyblock Modpack

We released our own Hypixel SkyBlock Modpack for Lunar Client users, just in time for the Foraging Update. All it takes is one click in the launcher, and you can install all of the best Fabric mods for SkyBlock at once, while still having the ability to drag and drop any new ones you may want to add. This allows you to completely customize the modpack to make it your own.
