What is Lifesteal SMP?
Lifesteal SMP is a popular Minecraft SMP that is played by many well-known Minecraft content creators. Lifesteal SMP is often referred to as “The Deadliest Minecraft SMP,” not only because of its unstructured nature but also because of its unique mechanics:
Whenever a player dies, they lose a heart, while killing another player grants them a heart. If a player loses all of their hearts, they will be automatically banned from the server. This player can be revived by another player, but it is not guaranteed, which ups the intensity of the game and creates higher stakes gameplay where every decision matters.
The aim of the game isn't about defeating the ender dragon or building an impressive base; it is about staying alive. Playing strategically by forming alliances and balancing risk and rewards carefully will keep you alive. Maintaining your heart count while focusing on friendships and betrayals will take you to the top and give you the best chance of winning.
To date, Lifesteal SMP has had six total seasons, with a seventh season starting on July 20, 2025. Lifesteal SMP has also hosted various special events in between seasons, including Lifesteal Assassins, Lifesteal RLCraft, and Lifesteal X Blockwars.
