Easy Setup
Not only does Lunar Client push boundaries by providing a wide selection of mods, but installing and setting up the client is quick and easy! Since Lunar Client does not require downloading every individual mod, all you need to do is install the client.
Once you’ve installed the client successfully, you may login to the client and select the version you wish to launch. Once you have launched the client, you are free to begin using Lunar Client! You can open the mod menu by pressing Right Shift. You will see a selection of mods that you can enable and customize on your HUD.
Performance
With both Lunar Client and vanilla Minecraft, your frame rate will depend on your hardware specs. Thankfully, Lunar Client offers a significant FPS boost, allowing players to have a smooth gameplay experience whether they are playing on Singleplayer worlds or Multiplayer servers. RAM
RAM is very important for achieving the best Minecraft performance. Random access memory (RAM) is the hardware in a computing device that provides temporary storage for the operating system. RAM is crucial for Minecraft because it directly affects the game's performance, stability, and the ability to handle complex environments. Thankfully, Lunar Client allows players the ability to adjust how much RAM they can allocate to Lunar Client depending on how much RAM they have on the computer. To adjust your RAM allocation, find the Settings icon on the bottom left of the Launcher. You can manually adjust your allocated memory with the green slider or select Detect Recommended. This will adjust your allocation to its recommended amount.
Mods
The most noticeable difference between Lunar Client and vanilla Minecraft is the ability to install and use mods. Lunar Client offers 75+ built-in mods dedicated to a wide range of gamemodes. Additionally, Lunar Client allows players to install third-party mods through Fabric with versions 1.16.5+ only. More information on Lunar Client mod loading can be found here.
What mods make Lunar Client so great? We offer a diverse group of mods catered to PvP, Survival, and other miscellaneous areas of Minecraft. For survival, use the Waypoints mod, Zoom mod, Toggle Sneak/Sprint, and Lighting mod. Lunar Client will be there to aid you in any Survival mode difficulties you may encounter! Lunar Client Hosted Worlds vs Vanilla Minecraft Realms
One very similar characteristic between Lunar Client and vanilla Minecraft is the ability to host a private world for you and your friends to play on! Unfortunately, Minecraft Realms can only be used through a monthly subscription. Thankfully, you can host your world for free using Lunar Client! An amazing fact about Hosted Worlds is that players using Bedrock and other clients can also join your Hosted World! Customization and Cosmetics
Another key difference between Lunar Client and vanilla Minecraft is the player and cosmetic customization aspects. Unfortunately, vanilla Minecraft is very limited when it comes to player customization, and it only allows players to use their own official Minecraft capes. Thankfully, Lunar Client is well known for its cosmetics and allows players to express themselves creatively through our wide cosmetic selection. Social
Lunar Client has a built-in friend system allowing Lunar Client players to add fellow Lunar Client friends! Through the Lunar Client friend system, players can message their own friends and personally set their status, including Online, Idle, Do Not Disturb, and Offline.
